Ai până în 30 de ani şi te pricepi la fotografie? Atunci ţi se pregăteşte un concurs foto adresat tinerilor din întreaga Europă. Revista elveţiană online Tink.ch a lansat competiţia REGARDEUX, având ca temă diversitatea. Cei mai buni fotografi vor primi vouchere pentru propriul echipament foto sau software pentru editare de imagine în valoare totală de 6000 de Euro!

Imaginează-ţi câteva diferenţe dintre culturi care ne fac să avem idei preconcepute despre oameni. Cum toţi arabii ni se par terorişti sau cum avem impresia că evreii nu fac decât să îşi tragă clienţii în piept.

Asociază două fotografii făcute de tine unde diferenţele să fie estompate de similarităţi. Trebuie să construieşti, prin aceste două imagini, o poveste care să ţină locul unui manifest pentru diversitate. Concursul este menit să ajute tinerii din toată Europa să treacă peste ostilităţile care domină dezbaterea publică în privinţa diferenţelor despre culturi.

Pentru a participa la concurs trebuie să ai mai puţin de 30 de ani (până în momentul în care trimiţi fotografiile) şi să trimiţi proiectul până pe 3 septembrie 2007. Fotografiile pot fi uploadate pe site-ul concursului, iar dacă nu ai încă vreo idee poţi să arunci o privire pe lucrările deja puse pe Internet de ceilalţi concurenţi!

Regardeux – Photo European contest for young people

You’re under 30 years-old and like taking photos? Then find out about a new photo contest addressed to all young people around Europe. The online magazine Tink.ch has launched the photo competition called REGARDEUX and wants to sharpen the sense for second sights. The best photographers will be awarded with attractive prices such as vouchers for your personal photo equipment or professional imaging software of a total value of over 6000 Euro.

Imagine some visual differences between cultures that make us have preconceptions. People tend to consider that Jewish only try to rip off their customers, or that Muslims are definitely members of terrorist organizations.

You have to create a story consisting of two images where similarities dissolve alleged opposites and make a clear statement for more diversity in our world. The contest is meant to help young people all across the Europe to overtake the ostilities that dominates the public debate about intercultural differences.

In order to participate at the Regardeux contest you need to be under 30 years-old (at the moment you turn your photos in) and send your project before the 3rd of September 2007. The photos can be uploaded on the contest’s site, and if you lack good ideas for a breathtaking photo story you can let the images already handed in inspire you.
